Hi, I’m Cat — welcome to my little corner of the internet.
I’m 26 years old, living in Australia, and creating a slower, softer life filled with the things I love most: gardening, baking, learning, and making a home full of warmth.
Some of my happiest moments are the simple ones — tending to the garden, baking sourdough from scratch, or making sweet treats for my husband to enjoy. There is something so comforting about creating with your hands, whether it’s growing something from the soil or pulling a warm loaf from the oven. For me, those little everyday rituals are where so much joy lives.
My story hasn’t always been easy. I came from a hard upbringing, and much of my adult life has been shaped by the quiet determination to build something better for my future family. I started working at just 14 years old, and from a young age I had one clear goal in mind: I wanted to buy my own home. Through hard work, sacrifice, and persistence, I achieved that dream and bought my first house at 18.
Over the years, I followed ambitious career paths in architecture and then engineering, always pushing myself forward. But more recently, I made the decision to step away from that world so I could allow my body to recover and reduce the stress I had been carrying for too long. It was not a decision I made lightly, but it was one made with hope — hope for a healthier, happier future.
At 22, I married my wonderful husband, and together we have been building a life centred around comfort, care, and intention. We dream of creating a home and family life that feels safe, beautiful, and full of love. While our journey to grow our family has come with some challenges, it has also deepened my appreciation for the life we are creating and the values we want to pass on.
This space is where I share that journey.
I write about my learning, my cooking, my home, my garden, and the experiences that are shaping me along the way. In many ways, this is a place I am creating not only for the world, but also for my future children — something they can one day look back on and see the heart behind the life we were building for them.
